Press and Publicity
Cindy Denney of High Hat Management graciously volunteers her assistance in handling the ever-rising number of press requests we receive. (All of the publicity you've seen about MACCNO was unsolicited.) Please forward any requests you receive about speaking on behalf of MACCNO to Cindy to ensure we keep our press requests on track. Our agenda Wednesday will include talking about this issue.
Final Mission Statement Requests Wednesday, December 12, we will discuss MACCNO's proposed mission statement, as prepared by the MACCNO planning committee. Please submit any last minute suggestions via this link by Thursday, December 13.
The MACCNO facilitation/planning committee is voluntary and open to all MACCNO members. If interested, we welcome your advice and efforts! Sign up here. For transparency, our current volunteers (in alphabetical order) are: Tres Barnard, Sasha Birman, Patrick Crilly, Willie Davis, Cindy Denney, Heidi Diekelman, Ethan Ellestad, Alex Fleming, Sarah Gromko, Matt Hill, Hannah Kreiger-Benson, Christopher Lane, Kiyoko McCrae, Suzanne Mobley, Amy Stelly, Antoni Tsatsoulis, and Ryan Williams.
The Advisory Group is an ever-growing group of experts in all facets of New Orleans music and culture, and we use their guidance to better pursue our mission. We welcome nominations through this link for people you think would contribute to our collective efforts. Since our advisors are people we seek for occasional outside expertise, please understand that we cannot accept self-nominations.
Above all, please spread the word and plan to attend the next MACCNO meeting Wednesday, December 5 at noon at Kermit's Tremé Speakeasy. Their lunch is delicious!
